Which Mascara Worked Best For Me? Popular Mascara Reviews
I decided to test popular mascaras. You’re wondering why? There’s a simple explanation. I wanted to find the best product that delivers on the producer’s promises. You can’t even imagine how many times I’d been disappointed with a mascara. Even ones advertised by celebs often proved to fail.
Good mascara saves money
Generally, nearly every woman’s budget is strained by cosmetic products. However, foundation or concealer is a thing that I buy once in a while. It’s a different story with mascaras. Sometimes I would spend lots of money buying even three or four mascaras within a month! I can’t say I was happy with what they did.
Once, at the end of a month, I totalled the expenses on mascaras alone and I was terrified. To save up, I decided to spend some time looking for the one that would really satisfy my needs and wants. When browsing the Internet I found four extremely popular products which got rave reviews.
I added these to the cart, paid, and got them delivered after a few days. The great test began!
Long-wearing results, top quality, safety. These mascaras guarantee that!
Once I got the package, I decided I would test each mascara for a day. Throughout twenty-four hours, I was watching my lashes carefully, and also checked whether the products were easy to apply.
Here’s my ranking featuring honest mascara reviews
1. Nanolash Mascara
The Nanolash Mascara proved the winner and my perfect mascara. The very first brushstroke got me defined, batted lashes. The mascara tube is 10 milliliters, which is really impressive compared to competitive brands.
Let’s move on to what Nanolash mascara actually does. Thanks to the ideally-shaped, silicone brush, my lashes were perfectly separated and not stuck together. I also appreciate the brush for letting me grab the super-short corner lashes without the mascara getting on the eyelids.
The flake-free formula is another great thing keeping my makeup neat and polished all day.
What’s cool, you can choose between two product versions on the brand’s website:
- Nanolash Volume Up Mascara (volumizing mascara)
- Nanolash Length & Curl Mascara (curling and lengthening mascara)
I tested the curling and lengthening one.
2. Lahscode Mascara
Lashcode is a thickening and lengthening mascara that worked out well for me too. Its brush is almost the same as in Nanolash, which also gave me nicely separated, long lashes.
I can’t complain about the product’s durability either. There weren’t any flakes after a day of wear. No mascara on the eyelids. I think it’s thanks to the formula which envelopes each lash from the root to the tip.
3. Collistar Mascara Art. Design
The Collistar Mascara Art. Design is also worth testing. What can I tell you about its performance? It is a long-wearing mascara. My makeup stayed put through a long, busy day at work without flaking or smudging. There was no “panda eyes look”, which was really great.
What about the things that need improving? It’s the brush! It resembles a tridimensional triangle, and grabbing the barely-there corner lashes was a challenge. This may be because of my droopy eyelids but I’m not sure.
4. Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara
I liked the Max Factor mascara mostly for the noticeable lengthening and thickening effects. That was the result I was looking for. Sadly, it was rather short lived because the product started to flake after a few hours…
The brush has a unique shape with a narrow tip for easy application on the short lashes, without getting the mascara on the eyelids. I can’t complain about the applicator for sure.
A few words before I go…
Remember that a good mascara can turn your look around. You just need to get the right one for your needs. Feel free to test the picks from my round-up.
Nanolash Mascara is my foolproof choice and I love everything about it, but I realize you may have a different opinion.
Why don’t you share your mascara reviews? I’d love to know what you think of my top picks and which product work out great for you.
