Grand Test of Popular Hair Masks. I Choose the Best One!

Hey girls!

Do you also love testing new beauty items?

My shopping cart is usually full of hair products. I’ve got just a few face-care cosmetics but keep testing new hair treatments! If you haven’t got an ideal hair mask yet, then this post will come in handy. I carried out a great test of hair masks and chose the best one. Check out my favorites!

How often do I use a hair mask?

I use my hair masks after every washing. To me it doesn’t act just as a treatment before a night out, but a part of my daily hair care routine. I recommend that to you too. Naturally, sometimes I have no time to keep the product for 10 or 15 minutes, and simply cut it to 2 minutes or so. Even such a short time produces effects. When it comes to conditioners, I usually reach for leave-ins. If I want a more intensive repairing effect then a mask is the only choice. Remember that a shampoo won’t do much because its major job is cleansing the scalp. The product you apply next has a real effect on the appearance and health of hair.

Grand Test of Popular Hair Masks

Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

My rating: 10/10

This is the mask that my hair loves the most! Once I used it for the first time I knew where the rave reviews came from. Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask is dedicated to damaged hair but it will help healthy hair as well because it protects from damage.

After the first test Nanoil mask gave me softer and visibly more shiny hair – more glossy than ever before. Over time, I was happy to watch my strands grow stronger and in turn less prone to breakage or splitting. I think a high concentration of keratin takes credit for that because it brilliantly enhances deep layers of hair. The other important ingredient, panthenol, added resilience and hydrated deeply so I could finally stop worrying about dry hair!

The Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask had the greatest effect on my hairdo. That’s why I use it most often and have already ordered a new jar! A really low price was a pleasant surprise too.

All in all, Nanoil deserves the highest score in my ranking. To me the keratin mask by Nanoil is the best!

Ouai Thick Hair Treatment Masque

My rating: 9/10

The mask has a creamy, quite thick consistency but it’s very easy to use. Ouai Thick Hair Treatment contains some vegetable oils yet it is lightweight and non-overburdening. Thanks to the oils it needs just one application to make the hair very soft and beautifully shiny. When it comes to long-term effects, it works like the previous mask, that is nourishes and repairs hair from within. It has multiple functions and smells of roses – the scent is nice but doesn’t stay on hair long.

Unfortunately, despite the miraculous effect on hair, the price is a turnoff. I’m not sure if I’ll ever buy it again – for its price I have a few pcs. of the excellent Nanoil mask.

Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Masque

My rating: 8/10

This mask contains a quite rare cosmetic ingredient, caviar! I once read about the amazing properties of caviar so I definitely felt like testing the Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Masque. Another unusual thing about it is the manufacturer advises to leave it in for just 3 minutes. Once I totally went beyond that set timing and let it sit for around 15 mins, and it weighed my hair down. When I use it following the directions, there’s no such problem. The mask slightly smooths the hair leaving it softer too. It moisturizes and nourishes. It doesn’t bring spectacular effects like the previous products though. The Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Masque contains another unique and innovative ingredient – it is supposed to protect hair from aging. It caught my attention as I’d never seen a hair product containing such components.

Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine

My rating: 7,5/10

I’ve got a collection of masks by Kérastase but the Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine works best for my hair. The first thing I loved about it was the beautiful scent, quite intense, lasting long on hair. I usually use it before styling because it brilliantly tames and smoothes the hair. Despite that, it never left me with flat strands or other unwelcome effects. The Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine also deeply moisturizes and nourishes, making hair more manageable as well as resilient. The product is lightweight and you don’t need much to cover the hair evenly. It takes just 5 minutes to start working.

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair

My rating: 7/10

The Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask is designed for dry hair and I must admit none of the masks I’ve used have given me such softness and hydration boost after just one use! Over time it slightly boosted resilience and made the strands shine. It contains some oils and unfortunately (unlike the Alterna mask) sometimes left a heavy feel or even gave me awful-looking greasy strands. It isn’t a rule but it happened from time to time. That’s why it’s got the lowest rating. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair isn’t bad but there are better items to try. A good price and three size versions are definitely positives.

Have you heard of the hair masks from my list? Let me know if you’ve used any of them and what benefits it brought. <3

If you’ve got some other terrific hair mask to try please share its name. As a real hair-care buff, I’m sure I’ll give it a try in another test of products!

Until next time! <3
